Today, I am choosing: To kneel beside a Syrian child seeking refuge but denied entry. To stand beside my immigrant colleagues who now feel unwelcome. To fight alongside foreign-born friends now facing alarming uncertainties.
Today, let us create a different kind of executive order—The People’s Executive Order—a declaration written with our compassion and signed by our actions. A reminder that justice is ours to protect. And a promise that we will do so for all.
The recent protests have been inspiring and powerful. But it’s not enough for the White House to hear our voices; it must also hear the collective roar of our economic forces.
Approximately 2 million people fly each day in the United States. If one out of every ten of those people boycott air travel for 90 days, it will make a $5B statement. And that is a roar that is hard to ignore.
