Can A Snickers Bar Kill A Dog?

What type of chocolate is Snickers?

Snickers are milk chocolate-coated candy bars, filled with peanuts, caramel and nougat. The candy bar, created by Frank C. Mars, quickly became one of the planet’s favorite treats after its introduction in 1930, according to Mars Wrigley Confectioner — the American company that produces Snickers.

What percentage of Snickers is chocolate?

(And it is only that high because the United States Food & Drug Administration REQUIRES a minimum of 10% Cacao solids!) Cadbury®, Kinder® and Milka® are less then that! Snickers® is less than 2%. These bars all contain very tiny portions of Cacao and huge quantities of sugar and other additives.

Can I give Snickers to my dog?

A 20 lb dog could eat a few full size Snicker’s bars or 1.5 pack of regular M&Ms and not require a visit to the vet. Half of a bar of dark chocolate (1.5 oz) would give your dog some impressive vomiting and diarrhea.D
