Things to know about Frontal and Closure Wigs:

Want to order a wig?

If you would like a custom made wig, please email booking.rebeccadivine@gmail.com letting us know what wig you want or send us a picture so we can recreate that look. All wigs are custom made to your head size so you will need to measure around your head in inches.

Things to know about Frontal and Closure Wigs:

1. Maintenance

Frontal wigs are very high maintenance, if you glue your wig down with Got 2 B glue gel, you would have to wash the gel off the frontal every week. You can use a stronger glue that lasts a couple days to a week. I would recommend keeping the lace clean do that products don’t build up on the lace. You must also be very gentle as the lace/net is fragile due to bleaching and plucking the frontal to make it look natural. Frontals require you to gel the edges down which can cause build up of products however this is not compulsory you can wear it without adhesive. Closure wigs can also be bleached to make the parting look natural, this however decreases the life span of the closure. Closures are low maintenance and require you to wash it every two weeks depending on how often you wear it.

2. Durability

Closures last longer than frontals. Depending on maintenance closure wigs can last years given that you change the closure after a year or so. Frontals generally last up to 3-6months with careful maintenance. It can last up to a year if you rotate between different hairstyles and not wear that wig everyday.

3. Realistic

Frontals look more realistic with the hair line being customised and being able to switch partings, yet closures still look natural.

4. Manageability

Generally wigs are manageable and made to protect your hair from everyday heat and styling. Frontal wigs are very delicate meaning you'll need to be very gentle with it. You would normally need to use Got 2 B glue gel for a realistic look or eco-styling gel for the edges, whereas with a closure you can pop it on your head and it looks styled. Closures are easier to manage in my personal opinion, however once you get the hang of styling a frontal you may find it easy.
