Both firms make reasonably priced cell phones. While Infinix smartphones primarily focus on hardware, Xiaomi focuses on the complete smartphone, which is one of the reasons for Xiaomi's enormous success. But the question is, can Infinix truly compete with Xiaomi? To compete with Xiaomi, Infinix must upgrade its devices in various areas. Let's look at some of the reasons why we feel Xiaomi is still ahead of Infinix.

Software comparison between Xiaomi and Infinix

When we compare Xiaomi's MIUI against Infinix's XOS, MIUI wins by a wide margin. While MIUI isn't the best among inexpensive devices, it's better than XOS. Xiaomi's software support is also more promising than Infinix's. Xiaomi typically provides one or two significant upgrades every year and two or three years of security updates. While Infinix does not adhere to any such update policy, updates are sometimes rolled out and sometimes are not.

Services provided after the sale

Both firms are significantly lacking in after-sales service. But Xiaomi is recognised for better after-sales care, in contrast with Infinix. Xiaomi's brand value is also higher than Infinix. Xiaomi has a far more significant number of service centres and offline coverage than Infinix.

Hardware Comparison between Xiaomi and Infinix

Infinix occasionally impresses us with robust hardware at a lower price, but this is nothing new for Xiaomi. While the hardware on Infinix may be powerful, they need to optimise it adequately. Xiaomi outperforms Infinix in every area, including cameras and software management. Furthermore, Xiaomi smartphones are long-term dependable, not as much as other brands, but certainly better than Infinity. Apart from that, there are other reasons Infinix can never catch up to Xiaomi. Infinix, for example, does not have the same market penetration as Xiaomi; they are now confined to cheap and mid-range smartphones, and we have yet to see any flagship or higher mid-range handsets from the firm. In a few countries, though, Infinix has surpassed Xiaomi regarding shipments. However, Xiaomi remains ahead of Infinix.

Conclusion

In terms of mid-range and flagship smartphones, Xiaomi is different from Infinix. Xiaomi is obviously in the lead. We've given you a fair comparison of the two companies. Now the question arises, will Infinix be able to compete with Xiaomi in the affordable smartphone market?
