Brief Description of the work

  • This is a ball point pen drawing of President Muhammadu Buhari. It was my first complete pen drawing before I drew Godswill Akpabio. The work which was done in my sketch book took me about 27 hours within the period of 3 months to complete. The work had also seen 5 more works done within this same period.

Description of the model

  • Muhammadu Buhari GCFR (born 17 December 1942) is the President of Nigeria , in office since 2015. He is a retired major general in the Nigerian Army and previously served as the nation's head of state from 31 December 1983 to 27 August 1985, after taking power in a military coup d'état . The term Buharism is ascribed to the Buhari
    military government.
  • He unsuccessfully ran for the office of president of Nigeria in the 2003 , 2007 and 2011 general elections. In December 2014, he emerged as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the March 2015 general elections . Buhari won the election, defeating the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan . This marked the first time in the history of Nigeria that an incumbent president lost to an opposition candidate in a general election. He was sworn in on 29 May 2015.

I like that you try to describe your work, although i feel you could have done it better, more extensively. I also like that you describe the model, although in this particular case, you only just copied from that site @cheetah has indicated.
It is better you describe using your own words. You may only just read from other sources, but capture the ideas in your own words.

Otherwise, i admire that your attempts to describe the drawing, which is, by the way, very exceptional and well drawn.

I think that to increase levels of engagement, posts image/photo/drawing posts should always be augmented with some brief description, just as you here attempt.

Thanks @mirror. I will try to add more description in my next work and i will do my best to describe my model rather than copy it from the site.

Thank you for your contribution. I really appreciate.

Haha, am sure your cap is made of gold. Thanks for stopping by.

Working towards that

The drawing is a true similitude of buhari. Goes to show your level of proficiency in the world of art

Thanks a lot. I always try my best to make sure that the resembance is there. With every new piece I do, I try to improve and move further ahead than where I was before.

Thank you friend. It's my pleasure.

This is Buhari in pencil.
But why Buhari?
........he is our president.

This is buhari in pen actually.
Lol, it is Buhari because he is agueably a legend!

I must say i love your creativity, great work.

It is always good to say something more about the picture and not just what medium you used in drawing. What made you draw him?

I chose to draw him because he is an influential man. A man of his own words and a man who never gives up.

Thanks for your contribution.
