Redmi Note 10 Pro Fails Durability Test Horribly

Redmi recently unveiled the Note 10 series. The Redmi Note 10 Pro is the high-end model in the series. It is known as Note 10 Pro Max in India, while in the rest of the world it is known as the Note 10 Pro. It comes with a new elegant design and major upgrades over its predecessor. The Note 10 Pro is truly an all-rounder. If you ask me, “Where does the Note 10 Pro compromise to get the price this low?” Well, it would have been a tough one to answer. But today we have got the answer thanks to a YouTube video showing the durability test of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max/Note 10 Pro.

Water Test

Redmi Note 10 Pro Fails Durability Test Horribly

Gupta Information Systems first do the water test of the Redmi Note 10 Pro. In this test, the device is submerged in water for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, the device is taken out. It boots up and the display works perfectly. However, when the SIM slot is removed, a lot of water is seen there. The water went to the device from the sim slot, and after a few minutes, Note 10 Pro turns off automatically. It does not boot up; the display stops working and it just vibrates.

After some time, Note 10 Pro turns on automatically. It survives the water test but if you have a Redmi Note 10 Pro, then you now know that you have to keep the device away from water. A lot of water was present inside the Sim Slot and this time, it might have got lucky but this much water could have killed the device.

Scratch Test

First of all, let me tell you the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front as well as the back. On the front, the display starts scratching at level 6 with deeper grooves at level 7.  The scratch resistance is the same on the rear side. The camera module is glass however the LED cover is plastic. The frame of the device is also plastic.

Drop Test

The device is first dropped from waist height from all four corners and it survives. The device also survives when it drops from the rear side. However, when dropped from the front side, the display cracks and it stops working. That’s a major fail considering a very low height. The back panel cracks after it dropped from a higher height.

Bend Test

At this point, the device was completely cracked. To protect the hands, the YouTuber covered the display with a screen protector. The YouTuber bents the Redmi Note 10 Pro while applying the pressure from the screen. And the Note 10 Pro bends into two parts, just like a foldable phone. It is an epic fail, at the end of the video the YouTuber suggests not to keep the Note 10 Pro in your back pocket as it can bend very easily.
