It was a successful end to one of the biggest events held on the continent as Makhosazane Twala made history and became the first person to win Big Brother Titans on Sunday evening.
The 25-year-old became an instant millionaire as she walked away with the $100 000 (over R1.7 million) grand prize. She was loudly cheered on by the studio audience as well as the masses who attended the viewing party in Sandton, marking the end of an unforgettable first edition of Big Brother Titans after 78 days.
After several intense weeks, Twala and the other five housemates made it to the finale, but she was the one who emerged victorious with Nigeria’s Emmanuel Kalu Ananga, known as Kanaga Jnr, taking the runner-up spot.
The journalist was overwhelmed with joy as she was presented with the prize money by hosts Lawrence Maleka and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
