How to view when an Instagram account was created
Here is how you can easily check how your or someone else’s Instagram account was created.
Instagram is an entirely visual platform. Unlike Facebook, which relies on both text and pictures, or Twitter, which relies on text alone. The sole purpose of Instagram is to enable users to share images or videos with family, friends, or, in the case of an influencer, their audience.
In simpler words, it is an online photo and video social networking service that allows users to take pictures and add filters to share with followers. Today, Instagram has come a long way since its inception, back in 2010. Many years have passed by and you may be using the app for so long now that it’s impossible to remember when you’ve created your account.
How to view when your Instagram account is created using mobile app:
- Go to the Instagram app
- Tap on your profile picture at the bottom right corner of the screen
- Tap on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner
- Tap ‘Settings’ at the bottom of the screen
- Go to ‘Security’
- Tap ‘Access Data’ under the ‘Data and History’ section
- Look for ‘Data joined’ information under, Account Info
- You can now see the exact date of when you created your account
How to view when your Instagram account is created using a PC:
- Open Instagram on any web browser and log in
- Click on your ‘profile picture’
- From the drop-down menu, select ‘Profile’
- Click on the ‘gear’ icon
- Select ‘Privacy & Security
- Scroll down and click on ‘View Account Data’
- Under ‘Account info’, you will see the exact date of when your account was created.
