Change the Way Think for Greater Success

Change the Way Think for Greater Success
How can you achieve success? The word success means different things to different people, so maybe a better question is, what can you do to achieve your personal goals and reach your potential? A good starting point is to change your mindset and a book ready to assist is How Successful People Think.Small in size and quick to read, this book is all about changing the way you think to better your life. It dishes up advice on the importance of creative thinking, focused thinking, shared thinking, and more. The idea is to change or broaden the way you approach problems/situations and, by doing so, improve your chances for achievement.I’m always wary of books that emphasize thinking your way to success. Some of them seem to suggest that positive thinking, and nothing more, will make great things happen. This is, of course, shortsighted. You also need to take action to make a noticeable difference. This book is better in that sense, for it does recommend different ways to apply your new ways to thinking to help tackle problems in business and life. I would like it more if it laid out a game plan and offered more direct examples of what to do, but it does touch on application, which is more than I can say for other books of this genre.Changing the way you think is imperative for many, especially if you’re already inclined toward pessimism and doubt. It has been verified by science that various attitudes do become hard wired into the brain. So, there is no question that thinking positively, reflecting, questioning when necessary, etc will make a difference in your life. This book is correct that changing the way you think is step one on the path to success. With this book leaning toward the direction of brevity, there is much that it doesn’t touch on and some areas where it could be more in depth. However, How Successful People Think is still a good starting point on the path toward greater success. It can be read in a single sitting and, while it is brief, there is bound to be something useful in this book for most anyone. Even if you come away with only a few applicable bits of advice, the time spent reading will be worth it.

Another good book. Sometimes I feel like I did read the book in the pass, just base on decision I made in the pass and now that I am reading the book. Is like the decision made was right. No regrets. But yes John Maxwell yet taugh me through his book. I am seeing myself reading this all over again.
