Halsey revealed that since giving birth to their son Ender in July of last year they've experienced a number of very serious health setbacks.

The pop star, who uses she/they pronouns, posted a handful of videos to their Instagram Stories on Tuesday in which they shared with fans everything they've been through over the last year while wearing a heart monitor taped to their chest. “So, I know that a lot of you guys have been wondering what's going on with my health, and some of you saw a TikTok yesterday basically confirming that I'm allergic to literally everything,” she began. “Obviously my health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth. I started getting really, really, really sick.” They added that while they've been “kind of” sick for “most of [their] adult life, but it started getting really bad” in recent months.

Halsey continued, “I was hospitalized for anaphylaxis a few times and had some other stuff going on. Basically, after seeing a like 100,000 doctors, I got diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogren's syndrome, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), [and] Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).” They also explained that their doctors are still looking for the “root cause of some of these things.” The singer said, “It could be potentially another autoimmune disease, and I've known I've had autoimmune issues for most of my life, especially having endometriosis, but it's kind of been exacerbated since I had Ender.” But the Grammy-winner assured their fans that there was no need to worry as not only are they currently on a treatment plan, but they're still doing rehearsals for their upcoming tour and “really excited and really confident” they can do it in a way that's “healthy” for them.

Halsey has also been open about their health struggles in the past, especially regarding their endometriosis diagnosis. And last month they revealed that they had walked the Grammys red carpet just four days after surgery. They wrote on Instagram following the event, “The last time I attended the Grammys was 2017 and it was 3 days after I had my first Endometriosis surgery. I walked the carpet with my stitches still in. As luck would have it, I’m attending tomorrow for the first time in years and I had surgery again (you guessed it) 3 days ago. Only posting this to say, if you see me be gentle lol I’m fragile. Fragile but excited :)”
