Walk into any branch of the bank where you have an account and request for your ATM card.
  3. Can I give my Debit (ATM) Card to someone to help me pay my fees?
NO! It is highly advisable that you make your fees payments yourself. Remember, your Debit Card (ATM) is your personal property, and UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD YOU disclose your card details to ANYONE!
  4. I think my card details have been compromised, what should I do?
Once you discover that your debit card information has been compromised, CHANGE YOUR PIN and then contact your bank's nearest branch IMMEDIATELY!

The Kings University WebPAY platform currently accepts three (3) types of Debit Cards (i.e. Interswitch debit cards, Verve, and Mastercard). Check if the front of your Debit/ATM card has any of the following logos to be sure it can be used on the Kings University WebPAY platform.

  6. My Debit/ATM Card type is asking of CVV2 number, what is CVV2 and where can I find it on my card?
CVV2 is an important security feature for credit card transactions on the Internet and over the phone. "CVV" stands for "Card Verification Value". It is the three-digit number printed in the signature space at the back of most credit cards, such as Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards. The CVV2 number is always the last group of numbers in the signature space at the back of the card. On most Debit/ATM Cards, it is the LAST THREE(3) digits at the back of your Card. Please note that it is not part of your regular credit card number.

  7. What is Transaction Reference and why do I need it?
The Transaction Reference is generated automatically and uniquely for you per transaction request you send from your portal account to the Interswitch WebPay Gateway. Always remember to pay attention to the generated "Transaction Reference" before proceeding to the Interswitch payment page. You can also check the "Payments History" section of your portal for more detail records of your WebPAY atttempts. 9. I have been Debited but my Portal Account Balance was not Credited, what should I do?
You DON'T need to attempt the payment AGAIN since your bank has already alerted you of the transaction. 10. My Bank Account was mistakenly Debited Twice, what should I do?
Well, it is better to avoid this as much as possible by paying close attention to your Portal Account balance after every transaction attempt, to see if it has been credited before hurrying to complete another transaction. However if it happens, please send your Application ID, Name, Programme Type, Transaction Reference, Payment Reference, Payment Date and Amount Paid in an email to portal.support[at]kingsuniversity.edu.ng (Please replace the [at] with the '@' symbol).
