WAEC: Kamsi Umeh, best student in 2023 UTME gets 8A1s

Kamsiyochukwu Nkechinyere Umeh, a student of Deeper Life High School, who 360 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), and was adjudged the highest score has proved that her feat was not a fluke.

Umeh continued her academic success story with her recent results from the West African Examination Council (WAEC), where she secured eight A1s and one B2.

The Anambra State-born student recorded A1 in Economics, Civic Education, English Language, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Dyeing and Bleaching. She also made a B2 in Physics according her result made available to the media.

The student from Deeper Life High School, a mission college in Mowe in Ogun State scored a whooping 99 out of 100 in Cemistry, 98 out of 100 in Mathematics, 97 out of 100 in Physics, and 66 out of 100 in English Language to emerge the overall highest scorer in the 2023 UTME with a total of 360 out of 400.

The 16 year old student applied for Chemical Engineering in the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka.

Umeh who expressed her delight emerging the top scorer in UTME at her first and only attempt shared how she was able to achieve the feat in the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) conducted entrance examination.

“When I got home, I mainly focused on revising past questions using the series that I had. My parents were very supportive and encouraged me to study,” she said.
