Samsung is pretty aggressive when it comes to rolling out the latest updates for its smartphones. The company has already rolled out the latest January 2023 security update to its flagship smartphones and SamMobile has reported the smartphone brand has started rolling it out for Galaxy M51.
For those who are not aware, Samsung Galaxy M51 launched in 2020 and it appears Samsung is keeping it promise to give security updates to its smartphones atleast for four years.

Coming back to the software update, the Galaxy M51 is now receiving the latest firmware update that includes January 2023 Android security patch. The update, according to the report, is currently rolling out in Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Bolivia and Panama. We expect Samsung to expand the update to more regions in future.
Also, the update carries the firmware version M515FXXS4DWA3 and the update is all about bringing the smartphone on the same page as the other latest Galaxy smartphones. Speaking of that, the update includes a fix for over 50 Android operating system vulnerabilities and also brings some fixes for Samsung’s first-party features including NFC, Secure Folder and Knox.
Those who happen to be in the region where the update is currently rolling out will receive the update via OTA notification. Tapping on it will take them to the software update page where users can download and install the update.
If you do not want to want to wait, you can always check for the update manually by heading to Settings → Software Update and tap on Check for updates button.
Samsung Galaxy M51 is among a few Samsung smartphones that was backed by a 7000mAh battery. The handset features a 6.7-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with punch-hole selfie camera. The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor.
