Oxford is known as one of the most respected universities in the world. It offers many different kinds of scholarships to international students. However, the scholarship that really catches the eye is the Rhodes Scholarship.
The Rhodes Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship program for postgraduate study at the University of Oxford. These are given to 95 exceptional students each year. While the scholarship’s exact requirements vary by country, you will generally need to apply by July to October of the year before you plan to study at Oxford.
Another popular scholarship is the Fulbright Scholarship. These awards provide funds to help students return to their home country after finishing a graduate-level course at the University of Oxford. They may be awarded to individuals from any country, although the majority are aimed at non-Commonwealth countries.
Applicants can be selected for an Oxford scholarship by filling out an online application form. Depending on the subject area, you might have to submit some additional documents. Some of these include references, a statement of purpose, and a sample of written work. All of these must be within a 2000-word limit.
There are also many scholarships that are designed to be easier to find. Some of them can be found using the fee, funding, and scholarship search tools. Other scholarship schemes are only for graduates, which is why you’ll need to apply to a specific course at the University of Oxford.
In addition to the scholarships, there are numerous grants and fellowships for international students. Many of these are provided by the University itself, while others are offered by external organisations or trusts. Each will offer a certain amount of money toward a particular scholarship. Several of these can be viewed through the university’s Graduate Scholarships page.
For example, the Saven European Scholarship was created by a generous donation by Mr. Bjorn Saven. The award is intended to support graduate students from some European countries who apply for a master’s degree at the University of Oxford.
